This bag has been a game changer for me. I walk at least 2 miles a day from the South Side of Williamsburg to the North, and into the city and out, and having everything that I need, on my back, instead of one shoulder has saved me! All of the same great features as the Thetford, including the adjustable strap - so you can also attach just one strap onto the handles, and voila you have a shoulder bag, or a cross body bag. The Backpack also has an exterior cellphone and wallet pocket, so that you can grab your things without having to completely remove your backpack.
- Measurements: 11" across / 15" tall / 14" deep
- Riri zipper closure
- Interior phone and wallet pocket
- Adjustable back straps for cross body carrying or wearing as a backpack
After working together for the past 3 years to create the most supple, soft, beautiful, durable leather, my tannery has informed me that they have to raise prices for my custom leather by 100%. We have not shared the entire cost of the increase with you, but we have increased prices by 30%. We hope that you understand our position, and continue to enjoy our local, organic, grass-fed, humane, chestnut tanned leather for many years to come.
The good news is that we now offer three different leather finishes for our bags. Stock in each finish does vary, since we don't have every color in the three different finishes. In the menu where you select your color you will see that there are new options. If there is only the color listed, then that is our Original, untreated, raw, natural leather. If there is a Treated before the color than it means that that leather has been treated with a water proof Resin, and will be smooth, even and shiny. If there is a Treated (the color) Matte finish - this is leather that has been treated with the resin, but then sent to spin in the mill for an hour, to soften up the grain, and take out the shine. All of our leather is from Kinderhook Farm, and Hardwick Farm, and all of the leather has been tanned with chestnut tannins in Montgomery NY, its just the treated leather has a couple more steps to the process.
